Hawnby Parish Council Meeting 17/10/2017
Members present: N.Buckle, A.Wood & M.Sayer
Matters discussed as follows:
Apologies: J.C Harris and J.Saville
Rural Task Force: No volunteers or any other further action to be taken.
News from village hall committee: No further action has been taken, waiting for next meeting and possible funding grants.
Parish Council audit: Still waiting for forms to arrive, N.Buckle and C.Sayer to undertake, possible meeting required to discuss the audit late March.
Financial Report: £1224.66 currently due to YLCA boost and no hedge/verge cutting.
Bank Mandate: A.Wood to complete further steps and become able to authorise council cheques.
Proposals for old benches: M.Sayer to mend two of the benches, C.Sayer to sand and paint, then discussion to follow on where best to place them with in the parish.
Snilegate Head advertising: Mr Muirhas been made aware and willing to take further action, J.C.Harris to discuss further at next meeting.
Planning: No matters arising
Rural funding meeting attended by J.C.Harris also by M.Sayer: General discussion of what could be possible if funding was granted, national parks looking for ideas on what could be done to engage people with the area, seems similar to the leader grant.
Any other business - Parish Website: Transparency fund granted (£220) until April then must be re applied for.
M.Sayer to attend a meeting in Hawnby Village Hall on the 9th of March
Hawnby Inn: Hawnby Estate to refurbish the pub and then rent back out but may take some time.
Next meeting: 17th May 7:00pm at Hawnby Tearooms.
